Well, if you pronounce Phuket like it were an English word, you'd get: ph=f, u=u (as in truck), k=ck, et=it (roughly).
My brother decided to go there on vacation, spur of the moment. I thought he should have a shirt that said, "Phuket, I'm out of here!" It was funny at the time.
